Lost in Tibet - by Richard Starks and Miriam Murcutt
Miriam Murcutt is a former magazine writer and editor, as well as a publishing-industry marketing executive. They have hiked in the Everest valley, climbed a couple of Himalayan peaks, walked the length of the French Alps, completed the John Muir Trail, stumbled around the Tour de Mont Blanc, and completed a cold and windy circuit of the Torres del Paine in Patagonia. They have also walked with pilgrims around the koras of some of Tibet’s greatest monasteries. And, in the middle of winter, they have crossed the Tibetan plateau to follow, as closely as possible, the route taken by the five airmen whose story is told in their book. The authors both live in Boulder, Colorado, and can be contacted by email at starksmurcutt@msn.com.
